Tom Paine is a premium dry hopped bitter named after the celebrated radical who lived in Lewes in the eighteenth century. America celebrates 'Independence Day' on the 4th of July and in Britain CAMRA has designated July 'Independents Month' in celebration of Britain's independent brewers. This strong pale ale was awarded silver medal at the BBI Awards in 1993.
